I lived on St John many years ago, and do not remember much wild life, other than mongoose. I am considering moving to St Croix, but nature and its sounds are important to me. Any birds that call, any fogs that croak, any feeling that one is surrounded by nature on plots of land that have maybe a half acre, or so?
Thanks.

Frogs, birds, mongoose, and, where we live, the occasional deer. Also wood rats, but we don't talk about them.
