Good morning all,
Anyone have any recommendations on a good company to insure a sailboat? I've already looked at Marshall and Sterling, but want to shop around. The boat is on STX

We use Seaworthy, a Birkshire Hathaway company. Our boat's currently in Florida, but our quote for moving it to St. Thomas added only 200 to the annual premium, and we don't have to move it or take it out of the water during hurricane season.

Give Falvey insurance a try. My boat didn't qualify but have a friend with this insurance and it is supposed to have great rates. They also re entry paid out a large claim with no problems.

We use Coleman Marine out of St. Augustine. Haven't had to file a claim yet, so no direct experience on how they handle it, but the price is reasonable.
