Does anyone know of anywhere on St. Croix where I can get a good, quality, sanitary body piercing?

they used to do it at Ruel's Risque Wear - next to Plaza East. I think they might have closed, though.

Ok, I;m going to ask a question and give my answer first. Why would anyone want to poke holes in their tongue or navel or even some more tender parts and stick a piece of metal into that hole. Also, why would anyone want to have a full color picture of dubious nature permanently inked on to their skin, so it will still be their in 20, 30 even 40 years that identifies them as a thoughtless irresponsible person??

While I don't expect this to alert anyone who wants a piercing or ta too to the future problems of their actions, I wanted to hear WHY? anyone would deface their body in this way? I don't get it. Almost all studies tell us that a vast majority of people with tats and piercing are ashamed or unhappy with the results as they get older. Is it just being young And stupid, or is there some weird drive that makes people deface their bodies. Maybe I was born in the wrong generation. I am considered "liberal and accepting", some of my friends even think I am a left wing wacko, but I don't understand the need to get a tat or new hole in my lip.

Just wondering ?

i think this is a personal fashion choice. I am not interested in either a tatoo or a piercing, but to each his/her own. Do you have pierced ears?

There's no need to judge the choices others make when those choices do not have any effect on you.

Ms. Information. It all started for me while I was in the Marine Corp,We will just get one. While I do not intend to be rude or infringe on any of your rights, as long as you exhibiting your rights don't harm or infringe on others. I for one could really care less as to how or why you live your life as you have decided to live it,after all it is your life to live. However I did end up with two fully sleeved, tattooed arms. I ended up with them for the simple fact that I got tired of how people looked at and judged me,long hair, ear rings and a couple of tattoo's.

I decided that being a Federal Agent did not mean sh_t,and realized that most people only judge by what we see and not what we know. So there you have it, I decided that above all I am a last remaining Cowboy of our society,a tried and true American biker, whom by the way is still Federally employed. I never question, why I still get a tattoo ? and I even look at others with wholes all over their bodies and have to ask my self why would they do that, some of it I actually like and find attractive on a Female.

Here is your answer, If you have to ask why,you would not understand. You can rest assured that most, if not all, who are tattooed or pierced will never ask you why you don't have any. Live and let live Sis,it may be a tattooed, pierced, freak that comes to your rescue some day.

There's a good tat shop across from Plaza Extra in that small "mall" in the upstairs. Jesse is his name. I don't know if he pierces though.

i would not go to Jesse. nothing personal, but every tattoo i've seen is crooked and terrible. one friend has a HUGE backpiece...and there are actually trace marks (like when you go outside of the lines...only this is permanent). that's all we got here. i would go to St. Thomas for anything. I have 3 tats and i've gotten them done in the states, same with my eyebrow both times i had it pierced.
