Hey. Just wondering if there was any place near Gallow's Bay open for breakfast around 6 in the morning?

I used to eat there a lot. But the last two times I was on St. Croix there was a water main break over there and I got very sick with gastrointestinal problems. It took us a day or so to figure out that possibly the water was contaminated from the sewer break.

jewelygirl,
The sewer line broke behind the building across the street from the Golden Rail in December 2007, it took 4 days for them to fix it. In April 2008 the same line clogged and backed up Thur the manhole covers and it took 4 days to clear it. That part of Gallows bay has City water, different lines. I use to have to walk my dog around the the sewerage. I don't think you got sick from the water because its a closed system.

Trey, it's more downtown, but I love Paradise Cafe! My GF and I frequent their cafe on Saturdays for breakfast. Fresh squeezed OJ and the owner and staff are great. I'm a fan of their omelettes.

Shennigans (downtown) hands down is the best breakfast on island. Only place I know of to get decent biscuits and gravy and have incredible apple french toast. Everything there is very cheap as well. Buccaneer is great for an all around buffet.

Ditto on the Buccaneer. If you want a real breakfast, the Terrace buffet is impossible to beat.

Thank you all. I'm getting hungry just reading the posts.

The only breakfast I've had since I arrived has been cheese toast and cereal. Believe me, I'm grateful for it, but I'm ready for some real breakfast food. I'll make my rounds and try them all. Later.
