I am a specialty building materials supplier on the mainland, and a St. John resident has asked me to arrange delivery of some flooring ( about 1000 sq. ft.) Main question: how do you normally get your building supplies? from local lumberyards? from local/regional Home depot? or by special arrangement & shipped from the mainland or San Juan? I'm wondering if i should 'go the extra mile' and try to get a few other customers & then try to get a full 20' container shipped down to St. John, to save on shipping & handling. Or, maybe that would be harder? Thanks in advance. Tom, from massachusetts.

We've been looking for western red cedar, and also something to use on some floors, possibly cherry or even bamboo--but we're on STX. We brought in our own cedar in a container the last time we needed it.
