It will be 100* here in Phoenix tomorrow. Yes, it's a dry heat but still warm. Can't wait to come back in August and September when it is usually 115* in the daytime and over 100* at midnight.

Ugh, I'm with you on that! I'm not excited about summer at all! Wish I could get down to STX sooner than 9/2!

We lived all over the place, we lived in Palm springs for about a year and a half. I really like the dry heat much better. For us the heat index would get to about 120 in summers. But with the dry heat you could use the evaporator easily and save alot of money. But basically as long as you were in the shade its not bad at all. Here its hot and humid even in the shade, especially in Aug and Sept when the tradewinds die and the mosquitos come back. Argh. So I'd much rather have your dry heat.

Here in Phx the humidity is higher in Aug and Sep so we can't run the evap coolers. We have to run the A/C.
In our condo if there is any breeze on island, we get it. Still there are times that there is no breeze but with the fans it's not too bad. You're right though, inland it is a lot worse. The nights are much nicer there.
