How much would car insurance cost approximately for a jeep type vehicle (2000-2003) in St Croix? Is it comparable to mainland prices?

Car insurance is more expensive in the VI for less coverage.

I am paying $500 a year for a 1996 Blazer, minimum coverage $25K liability, no collision, no comprehensive. The policy is underwritten by Lloyds of London.

The same car in Chicago was $850 for full coverage including $300K liability, collision and comprehensive from State Farm.

Not what you wanted to hear, but that is what you can expect to pay in the VI. Shop around and you can save some money, but in the end it will cost you more than you are paying now.
