Can anyone tell me where to find a rental car in St. Croix with a reasonable price starting the end of Jan. 06 until the end of April 06? I've called a couple of the "name brand" places and the prices that I got were completely way too much. Any help would be appreciated.

Try Centerline or Judy's

However you will find that the rental cost will be around $900 per month even for a three or four month rental.

I know it sounds like a lot of stuff to do, but you might consider buying an island car and reselling when you leave.

You might be able to buy something for about $4000 and selling it for $4000 when you leave. Your cost will be the hassel of registering, insuring and then selling in a short period of time. (maybe a thousand or so). Some ethics challenged people even use and sell a car without registering and insuring it.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for the info. I had hoped that I could find something a little more reasonable than that. If I have to, I have to. I will only be there for three months so buying a vehicle, getting it registered and then selling it would be too much. I hope that something comes along.

try Midwest Auto Rental, 877 772 0438. They have been very nice to deal with, and about $200 per week, or a little less.

centerline was great when we were there last month for 3 weeks, you can fill out everything on line and they meet you at the airport with a 2 minute turn over time. very resonable, a brand new jeep for under 300 a week
