It will cost you between $2000 & $3000.

Search the forum. There have been many threads regarding this exact subject.

I thought shipping a car from Miami to STX was more like $600....think I ad that in another post on this site....or maybe teh $2-3,000 includes tax and other charges, not just shipping.

It probably depends on the size of the car. In OCt I shipped a Ford Bronco II from jacksonville. the ship charges were over $1150. Plus taxes, road fees, and I paid Flemming to handle all of the paperwork for me.

The base shipping rate is around $1,100 plus fuel surcharge, customs handling fee and marine insurance. Once the car arrives in STX you will have to pay use tax, road tax and custom duties if the car isn't a US made car. Total cost $2K - $3K.

If you buy a new car from a dealer in the VI they add these items right onto the sticker.

Fleming is more than just a delivery company. I have used them three times when shipping cars with Tropical. I have also used them with LTL shipments from the mainland. They are also an agent for Econocaribe.

Great people to work with. You can find them in the phone book.
