Is Carnival in January? I keep seeing photos from USVI that people are labeling "Carnival." Is there another one before Lent?

Each island has their own carnival/festival at a different time. St Croix's occurs around 3 kings day. St Thomas has one in April. Trinidad in Feb etc etc

Ahh, but we also have Mardi Croix, which is the STX take on Mardi Gras. Fun stuff!

The Mardi Croix parade is a stand-alone event and not part of any larger carnival. It is great fun.

There are no Templers living on STX so the 13th is cool.
