Can anyone give me information on the Casa St. Croix Condo's in Christiansted? I am looking for a place to live there for a couple of months and a third party has told me of this place. I just wanted someone's opinion of this place before commiting to it. Thanks in advance for your help.

Ummm.... do you mean Club St. Croix Condos? Or St. Croix by the Sea Condos? I don't know of any Casa St. Croix Condos.

Club St. Croix is on the beach and is part of "condo row" just west of C'sted. They have units from studios up to 2-BDRs. They are in fairly good condition and have a great view of C'sted and the Caribbean. The swimming pool is in a courtyard at Breeze's restaurant, which can be a little weird if you want to swim or sunbathe and there are diners watching you. You can always sunbathe out on the beach instead, though. The buildings are 3 stories tall and the third floor units also have a fourth floor loft room of some sort. The rental rate at these condos is typically somewhat higher than St. C's and there are lots of short-term tenants in and out each week.

St. C's (or St. Croix by the Sea) condos are a little further west of C'sted next to Judith's Fancy on the peninsula. They have truly fabulous views and breezes. Some are in better condition than others. The rental rates per month have been running around $1200-$1700 per month, depending on the location and condition of the unit. They are all large 1-BDR units (1200 square feet). The view from the pool deck is simply amazing. Although the pool is a little cold. The buildings are 3-stories and the 2nd floor unit is at walk-in level, so you would have no more than one flight of stairs to contend with no matter what unit you were in. Most of these units are occupied by the owners or by long-term tenants. Some are vacant much of the year and visited by their owners now and then.

What dates do you need a place to live on STX?

I live next to Club St. Croix. I live in Colony Cove in Condo Row. Colony Cove has nice condos, about the same as Club St. Croix. Club St. Croix has better internet access though.

I'm now finding out that these are apartments located in downtown Christiansted with only 10 units in the place. How is the downtown area as far as living? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry

I know St Croix and I have never heard of Casa St Croix.

There are a couple of condo units "in Christensted" but I don't know there names. They might be the ones your "friend" talked about.

Alexandra has the best answers. Listen to her and ASK MORE QUESTIONS. You did well to come to this message board.

Greetings
I just returned from St Croix after purchasing a condo at St C by the Sea - which is a fabulous location - it was hard to leave! There are several condos in the rental program as well as many proprty owners living there, too - everyone I met was friendly & helpful. My condo is available in the rental program through Calabash Real Estate - contact Tom.

Enjoy your stay in St Croix
