Hi all!

Do cell phones have good reception on St. John? And if so, is there certain companies that you would suggest? Currently I have use Sprint, but I figure I would have to cancel that plan and get a new company after I move. Also, do you suggest just having a home line?

I got very good ATT coverage in Cruz bay and mid island/south shore. Coral bay and the north coast it was spotty with low bars, and I kept picking up LIME from the BVI in those locations

We were on STJ two weeks ago and Sprint worked very well for us.

Sprint and AT&T are the two carriers on STJ. Coverage is much better for AT&T than for Sprint. There are lots of places on St. John where you won't get reception or will pick up the BVI signal ($$). Service in Coral Bay is disrupted with some degree of frequency. Having a home line may be necessary depending on where you live. Having a local phone number is often very useful regardless.
