Haven't had a chance to write in this message board for awhile now - but I want to know if anything like this has happened to anyone else...

I had filled out my questionnaire, and a few weeks ago an enumerator came to the house to ask the questions.
I TOLD HER that I had already filled it out and had given it to an enumerator back at the end of May or beginning of June - she said that there's no record of it. WHAT ???

I also heard from someone who had answered ALL the questions and she got called from the Census office, they asked her questions that she had ALREADY ANSWERED. She told them that - and the woman said that they were NOT answered, they were BLANK on the form. WHAT ???

Nope, they came about 2 months ago, thumbed through the form, said thank you, and left.

I wouldn't be surprised that, with temp workers, there wil be a glitch every here and there. Especially without mailing addresses.

It's a Federal thing. Did you honestly expect it to be different ?

That's exactly why I left Federal service after 21 years of it,not counting the I had in the Marine Corp. Have you ever found yourself surronded by big brains and ego's that couldn't get it right ? We make things way to difficult these days.

I moved in the middle of the census and filled it out at my previous residence. I told the census worker at the new residence that, she came back weeks later saying there was no record of us doing it. I refused to do another (it was like 12 pages for each person in our household) - she told me that it was against federal law yada yada yada. I haven't heard from her since then. I wonder if they are going to arrest me?

I never received a form to fill out. Received a call from my landlord who gave me the name and number of a census worker to call. Called her and she said "I have to call you right back". She never called. I called her again, left message and never received a return call. After hearing the above and my experience I wonder how accurate the census really is.

I wonder too - I'd love to hear from some of the enumerators out there.... I know that lots of them quit due to mismanagement, not getting paid, etc.

I have had no contact by anyone regarding the census. I completed my form, but it rests unattended on my shelf.

I guess they will miss one more resident.

Give them a call.

Anyone have a correct number? The number that was on a card left at my neighbor's door was a wrong number.
