Consumer's or Amigo's gas stations--or any gas station with a tire shop attached. Usually they have really cheap secondhand tires. Not the greatest quality, but may be suitable for your needs.

Good tires are key to driving on STT/STJ with our steep hills and the slick roads in the rain.
I would rather pay for really good tires than buy a cheap set but your road conditions may be different in STX if you are not climbing hills all day. If you don't drive during the summer, they'll last longer.Properly inflated tires are a must as well.

Kenmore Sears has a few cheap brands also I got a good deal at Malloy's in Catherine's Rest, about $60 per but they don't mount or balance, 773-2744

thanks guys (girls) went to emerald K tires. used but will last until i either sell or ship car back to states with us. then i can get decent tires cheaper and not so hard on them.
i think the car sitting all summer is not good for the tires. maybe will have to turn the car unside down like a turtle., 😀

but if looking for used tires on stx would recommend emerald k. you even get a car scented freshner. :@)

you go past kingshill post office straight at the light and its on the right side of the road. you might want to call first and see if they have the size tires you need. i think they have most sizes though.
think you can find it picaflores.

To clarify:

Emerald K Tires is near the La Reine intersection of Routes 75 and 70. Coming from the Kingshill post office, go south on 75, straight through the traffic light at the intersection, and Emerald K Tires is on the right side of the road

Sorry I didn't see this thread sooner but Tom Malloy (Malloy Tires in Catherins rest) sells NEW wholesale tires. Follow the signs from the intersection at Beeston Hill...
