How is the Asian cuisine on the islands? Any good Thai places?

We have Japanese Food. Beni Iguanas and Buddha Bar both have awesome sushi. I prefer Beni Iguanas - I like the Iguana sauce.

On STX, Dashi has sushi. No Thai food for several years since the one restaurant closed.

On STX Rumrunners also has sushi at the deck bar. Savant serves fusion food that includes Thai/Mexican/etc. mix. It is highly regarded.

A new sushi place just opened on STJ: Happy Fish. So far, all positive reviews.

If I had the $$, I'd open a Thai restaurant on STJ. I freakin' love Thai and think a Thai-Carribean fusion would work great! Imagine a yellow curry with mango!

Happy Fish is excellent. Not really Thai though.

There is Thai food on STJ. Rhumblines does Thai very well!

No, Sushi isn't Thai... but the original post asked about Asian food, not just Thai.

I wish there was Thai on STX. A few places do some entrees with peanut sauce, but that's about the extent of the Thai possibilities. I have to make Pad Thai and Chicken with Peanut Sauce at home now and then to get my fix.

There are also a few pretty decent Chinese restaurants on STX.
