LaReine Chicken Shack has very good chicken at very reasonable prices. It is take out or they do have outside tables, no waitress or waiters.

Shenigans, Bombay Club, Dungans, KFC....I dont think I've ever had bad fried chicken here, much harder to find a good chicken fried steak, but there are a few places.

There's a little restaurant right next to the bar that is next to Napoleon's pizza in F'sted.. I don't know what the name of it is.. it is on King street, on the west side of the street, on the corner across from Roti Express... they have excellent fried chicken, among other things, for a good price.

no question--just in case, now known as Lori's. At the Reef out east. Sat. Sun and sometimes during the week, probably best to call. They also run out sometimes on wekends (after cooking 100+ chickens, i understand)

Just reminded me that in 1966 I raised chickens on STX while going through my three month Peace Corp training program for a poultry program for India. I hated it and at the end of the program, I washed out. One of the best things to happen to me. But I did like twisting their heads, cleaning them and bbq'ing them for the last big event we had.

I prefer frogs because they taste like chicken and yet nobody cares if they die because we dissected them in high school.

1966, PG? I was in grade school......wow, you're older than I thought - no wonder you're cranky 🙂

Wait a minute......I thought crankiness wasn't tolerated on this board? Are YOU Islander????
