Choice Cable TV refund?

Have not heard either way.

I would think they will honor your deposit since they are still selling internet and still in business.

What are they tellinng you?

I returned my cable box on April 30...they told me it would take 6-8 wks for the refund....so I called them this past Friday. They said they were behind in processing the refunds and were "waiting" for a batch of checks to come in. They could not give me an est. on my check, took my phone# and said they would call....it's like waiting for my tax refund!

Sounds like they are holding/using your $'s or have a cash flow problem.

I don't work for them.

I do know some things about their business.

And I do know that when a business does not return a deposit promptly it is b]often using other peoples money to float it's operation.

Why do you think Choice is slow to return deposits and advance payments for services it no longer provides?

I turned in my remote and cable box three months ago. I had also paid for several extra months of service. And yes I do have a receipt.

Has anyone got a refund as of yet?

Still no refund!

ok folks, I finally got my refund. I called them about every two weeks for an update. The last time I called I finally expressed my annoyance to the lady on the phone, asking her how long it would take since it had been 3 months since I turned in my box. I asked to speak with the supervisor. She put me on hold, went to talk to the supervisor, came back and said they would have a check for me to pick up. So I picked up the check the next day, on a Saturday, at their office in Peter's Rest.

So I guess you gotta be persistent to get your $ back. Try it!

I`ve been trying for years to get my deposit back!
A couple years ago, I got a call to turn in my box for my deposit as they needed boxes badly.
When I got there, I was told I`d receive a check in the mail soon if I left the box.
I told them, I`d leave the box, if I get my deposit!
They told me 'we don`t know if your box works":
I assured them it did, & offered to prove it, switch it out with their box!

They didn`t allow me to do so, so I left.
I got a call a week later, asking for my box, & I again offered it for my deposit back.
The person on the phone assured me if I brought it in, I`d get a check!
I said right then & there, you`ll give me a check for the box?
He said, we`ll send you the check in a few weeks.
I told him the ONLY way Choise will get this box I paid a deposit for w/o a check would be for me to deliver it there once again, but this time I`m delivering it through the window!
Do you still want my box?
He said he understands & have made many calls attempting to get as many boxes back as they could.

Ackley sold VIAccess to ATN back in '99 I believe.
ATN re-named it Choice.

Actually, there are 3 generations of Ackleys on STT these days....including Gordon...who also spends time in the States.
