Wow! Talk about a puff piece. You can easily tell who the VIC supports. Look for many 'stories' about her in the future.

She makes for an entertaining election season. Who will launch the first lawsuit against her?

We haven't learned our lesson (hope I'm wrong) the screech owl will be elected. She will throw a huge party at Canegata, and people will vote for her. uneducated voters. Let's hope our young people can see through her.

She lost by a fairly large amount during the last election despite all the media attention. That was the first time the new machines were used, so some speculate that the old machines were programmed in her favor. This election will be a better test of her popularity.

New machines?

I remember that we filled in a paper ballot and did not vote using a machine.

We used the machines during the primary and during the general, most of the ballots were fed through the machine by somebody at Elections. I observed for some of the ballot feeding since they are open to the public.

It is a disgrace that she is allowed to run again for the Senate. She should have been barred for life from being able to hold any public office.

Just remember that so far all we have is the published list of candidates. They have not been screened for eligibility by the board of elections. This has yet to happen.

So, even though listed, Chucky may not yet be considered eligible to run.

From VI Consortium in 2014 and likewise reported elsewhere:

"The Supreme Court decision bars Chucky Hansen from seeking re-election — even if she is pardoned by Governor John. P. deJongh, as the pardon would be too late to change the Supreme Court’s ruling. If Senator Hansen is pardoned by Gov. deJongh, she will be able to seek re-election in 2016."

She was eligible last year AFTER the ballots were printed. She was allowed to run but had to do it as a write in. What do you think has changed since then to deem her ineligible?

The young people have been so bloodied by the economy your generation created that they see little value in voting.

I'm glad they see little value in voting because there IS little value in it.

Where have you been monogram?
Been wondering about you!

Jeeze...worst scenario possible!
We're already stuck with Monarch Mapp and his sycophant, Potter.
I heard he thinks he's gubernatorial material?

Spare us any more time with the screeching, criminal shrew, upchuck Hansen.
Ronald Russell was at the helm of the Legislature when $6.9MILLION DOLLARS
was misappropriated, misspent, mismanaged, wasted and stolen and to this day has no accountability. Wasn't he also the senator that had sexual misconduct charges against him by 2 different staff and settled out of court? Sealed docs.?

Not impressed with Plasket but gimme a break with Chucky and Russell.
Y'all in STX need to vote and make sure we are not recycling the same old crap over and over. Same thing for us in STT & STJ.
