Hi all,

WAPA finally turned on our power and we moved into our apartment last night. We have a fairly small 2/1 on the northside. Despite our best attempts, the landlord INSISTS she cleaned the place (even though she left bras, socks and underwear in one of the drawers) We are in desperate need of someone to come out tonight or tomorrow and clean our house. My roommate and I literally have no time, between work and trying to get all settled in.

Do you all know anyone who would come out? Reasonable priced, please.

Thanks!

Jen

Hi there. I don't know where you live, but right now I'm physically doing quite well, and would be happy to help. I am on STX near C'sted. If you are on STX, just let me know where and when, and I will roll up the sleeves, metaphorically. I haven't worn sleeves in over a year!

If this would work, PM me with your number and I will call.

Best wishes,

Dan

Daniel, Jen is on STT.

Jen - not used to island time? Nothing will get done tonight or tomorrow unless you're very lucky and are wiling to pay an enormous price.

Chill, girl! I do know of someone who would be good on a regular basis here and there but in the meantime just get out your cleaning supplies and get it done the way you want it and don't fuss around looking for the quick fix that isn't going to happen. I'm not trying to be obtuse but in the time it took you to post and repost you could have been putting elbow grease to work. Just saying....

Cheers, dear! And if you DO have need of someone to come in and clean on a regular basis, let me know via PM and I'll get in touch with her. She's a lovely lady and does an incredibly good job!

STT Resident,

You took me back to three years ago when we first arrived. We were looking for a rental and an agent showed us a place where the former owner had died and his stuff was still there and everything was flithy. She hadn't wanted to show it but she did. We liked it and it was in our price range. We wanted to take possession in 3-4 days and assumed she could get a cleaning crew in ASAP. I still remember her facial expression - she looked at us like we were crazy. Sometimes I wonder when, if ever, that house got on the market!!

It does take a newcomer a while to get into the swing of things.
