Yes, I used Nick Danaluk (340-713-0650) for my tile in August. He did a really nice job, and quite reasonable. We ran into some complications, and he still charged me the quoted rate. I talked to some contractors here in the states, and they said that the rate was less than they would have charged here.

He is an older man with one helper, and the job took longer then expected, but I would use him again.

I believe he does other type of work as well.

thanks, I will call him for a quote. Did he work while you weren't there or do you feel you need to be present to have it done correctly?

We were ther, but he seems to take great pride in his work. I think he would do just as nice of job on his own.

dear loungefurniture

I commend you on your post asking for names of good quality contractors. I,ve been on the island for seven years and have come across some real winners. I,m not sure how long you have been here but continue asking. I cannot even count the times i have been intentionaly ripped off or been told by contractors how talented they are only to find they cost me more money in the end to corret their mistakes. always ask for liscences, references, etc. my most recent negative eexperience was with Randy warner (a so called plumber). Because of the situation i needed someone real bad real quick or my business stood to take a huge hit without water. long story short he hooked up a pump and a pressure tank that was wired so incorrectly i was told by boyce plumbing(someone i highly recommend) that if it were raining and i touched the wiring area I could have be badly hurt if not killed.
Anyhow, ask, ask, ask. there are alot of crooks dressed up as contractors.

I will second that Boyce as a plumber is good and his billing fair.
