I am a contractor in the states and looking at move to st.Croix in a year or to.I need to no the name or acronyms for the licence board there. If anyone has transfered a licence. Is it like Doing it state to state up here or is there a lot more red tape.By the way I am a plumbing contractor not building. And that is what I would like to do part time when i get there permanently. One more thing plumbers aren't really cheap there are they? Thanks Josh

Hi Josh.

Plumbers are not cheap here. There is bound to be more red tape here than stateside. You can find the licensing requirements/information here: http://www.dlca.gov.vi/mppcrequirements.htm

On STX you can also try conatcting:
V.I. Plumbing Board
Department of Licensing & Consumer Affairs
Golden Rock Shopping Center
Christiansted, St. Croix, USVI 00820
(340) 773-2226 phone (340) 778-8250 fax
