I know many people on this board have moved back to the States and shipped a container, can anyone ballpark what they paid to ship it to FL and what that process was like? Did you go Tropical, Crowley, or another route?

I'll be shipping 1 car, 4 door Jeep Wrangler. We're just starting the process of figuring out what to sell, do we sell everything and just ship things like books or do we get a container and take it all. Depends on what this will cost. I have a ton of books that I can't get rid of, but guitars, amps, computers, kitchen stuff that I definitely could.

I have a 1 year old king bed and a brand new brown leather reclining sectional with cup holders. If I end up selling those, maybe no container.

About a year and a half ago, I shipped a 20 foot container via Crowley from STX to Port Everglades. The charges were $3950. On delivery, I got hit with a $150 customs fee because they decided to select my container for inspection.

This included delivering the container to my house, leaving it for a week. Picking it up. Shipping it to Port Everglades. And delivering it to its destination in Pompano Beach, FL.

I'd be interested in the bed. Possibly even the guitar and amp, computer and kitchen stuff too.

I've gotten a lot of questions about guitars via PM so I'll post it here:

-1999 Fender American Std Strat w/tweed hardshell
-New Sterling Music Man Axis AX40
-New Taylor 416ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic/Electric
-New Alvarez 12-string acoustic, AD60-12 w/SKB hardshell
-Cheapy Jasmine acoustic, wife wanted to learn (yeah right)
-New Epi Les Paul Pro w/hardshell
-Fender Mustang 1x8
-Orange Crush 1x8
-Vox Ac5 (rules)
-Bugera V5

The pedals I'll probably ship but I'd listen to an offer:
-Vox Wah
-Ibanez Tubescreamer
-TC Electronics Spark Boost
-Catalinbread Heliotrope
-EH Memory Boy
-Catalinbread Pareidolia
-EH Small Clone
-Joyo Tremolo
-Joyo Ultimate Octava
-EH Holy Grail reverb

Also 3 MXL mics and a Yamaha Mg102c mixer.
