I just came back from CUL in STT -- the rearranged areas do look great but until you get used to all the changing locations for your staple products you must closely cruise each aisle looking for where things have been moved yet again.
Of course this takes more time and tempts you to buy things that are not on your list - how the Cost You More nickname came about I guess. Most things are always fairly priced IMO but it usually takes a stop at Pueblo or Plaza Extra to fill in the blanks and sometimes they don't have your usual products available for weeks or they never appear again in some cases.
I do miss the larger appliances and furniture departments - it served as a well priced alternative to the other places on STT that sell comparable items.
Some one is obviously using some market traffic kinetics to steer shoppers into the lesser used aisles that previously produced lower revenues.
Moving the chips and pretzel type snacks into the far area by the beer and soda was a search and surprise event.
Not that there is anything wrong with that!

I was sooo excited to find Amys organic spinach pizzas (3pack for $20!!) and the Amys organic burritos recently! Back where the processed frozen garbage is. We used to spend $20 on Thirteen pizza and now we just add a few extra veggies from the garden. Their great!

I very rarely shop anywhere but CUL now. They usually have everything we need and their meats are good / decently priced and of course I love the cheese case 😉 we love the thick cut pork chops - usually 4 for $6-7

Pricesmart has better prices on many things that Cost U More also sells.
The pork chops/chicken cost less at PS as do many other items which CYM has for $1 or more on identical items/same brands.
I will hit Pueblo for items I can't find at either place or for a can or 2 of this or that so I do not have to buy a 6pack, and flip weeks to go to CYM or Pricesmart. Overall meat selection for lean ground beef and steaks are better at CYM. It pays to shop around. I gave up on going to Fruit Bowl.

What happened to their 89 cents corn tortillas?????? It kills me to pay $2.++ at other stores.

They also have the best price on grape tomatoes - $2.99. Those are the only store bought tomatoes I buy.

I like the Orlando Deli Italian bread in the freezer section. Makes the best toasted bread for grilled cheese and other sandwiches. Lots of slices for the money.

Best price on Lipton tea bags for those who drink iced tea.

Gave up on their rotisserie chickens. Plaza Extra and Gourmet Gallery are better, haven't had PriceSmart.

Pueblo's new store brand, Every Day Essentials, has good pricing and quality.

So Cost-u-less in STX added a Discover Card sticker to the register poles. Right above or under the Visa/Mastercard logos. So I pulled mine out to pay and they tell me that they don't accept Discover. I then removed the sticker myself, which apparently upset the cashier. Same as I did 5 days ago.

After I paid with another card, she informed me that the swiper will accept Discover, but it does not show up on the register screen.

No manager to talk to.

These stickers were not there a few weeks ago when I was last there. I think that they do accept but are too lazy to do their job, which is to accept them, or to remove the stickers from the registers.

Hilariously true, The check out experience is in need of some attitude improvement and a bit of motivation

I've actually had good experiences with the check out ladies at Cost U Less in STX. A little joking and laughing with them always brings conversation and smiles.

I had to chuckle at my CUL experience (STX) today. Dropped over $3$$.$$...unusual but I haven't been there in over a month. The cashier was on a personal call the whole time she was checking me out. Her call was interrupted when one of my items wouldn't scan. It was a new item...frozen hash browns (bulk). Item was not priced at the freezer...I took a chance because they haven't sold the dehydrated ones in eons. She took it up to the managers' desk...no one knew...no one could answer the question. Final answer was "we can't sell it to you...we don't know how much to charge". They probably have 50 boxes in the freezer. They wanted me to come back tomorrow; they "might" know by then. I'll pass. If the mystery ever gets solved by anyone on this board...let me know.

I have had a similar situations @ their meat department... "Deh mon, butcher, gon foh day, deh mon..." and the cashier lady in a nice way told me there was nothing they could do... It seems to be fairly common...

Other than that, my experience with them has been good... As for credit/debit cards, it is sometimes a hit or miss deal...
