Is there a lot of crime in St Thomas or St Croix?

I don't think there is much more crime on STX if as much as most any othere place, but from what I have heard the police don't seem to do much to stop it. At least here in our area (AZ) they are trying to stop it. Maybe the new governor will help matters.

There have been many posts on this here and on the vacation board. I suggest you do a search and you'll get a lot more information.

STX is 87 sq miles and STT is 35sq miles. The crime statistics are pretty much neck and neck.

The populations of STX and STT are virtually identical, as are the crime statistics on each island.

I'm afraid of calling 911 when someones breaking into my house and getting a busy signal or being routed to some idoit in stt. Do you know they frequently send the calls there? Oh wait I'm not afraid because I do not in any way relay on the local police department because I know it will do no good. 🙂

Nevermid I just realize Camp doesnt live here....

You need to settle on down there, Cameron. Quiet silliness is tolerated, but yelling tends to draw attention to the emptiness of the pot.

I agree, you really dont need to yell at me. I am new to this message board, and didnt really research past posts before I posted that question. I guess you are angry because many people ask that question on here. My dad lived in St Croix for two years and said there were a lot of robberies, so I just wanted to see what someone else thought. Thanks for the answers 🙂
