You'll get conflicting information no matter where you look for info. Everybody has different experiences so they speak from those.

Nobody is holed up behind a walled fortress afraid to venture out. Though the gun violence may have increased, and the violence is usually gang related, it seems as though other crimes seem to be down for now.

Tell that to Scotty who lives in little Beirut. He has 12 foot high fences with razor wire atop them. His dog has been murdered and they've tried to breach the fence at least twice to gain access.

where the hell is that? & who did they piss off?

I agree with Ms411, even robberies have been "fewer" this year (not that any are good).

It's the hell on STT. It may be near Charlotte Somalia.

I have not been to the islands in years, but my family and I are thinking about moving back. Is there a part of the island you would recommend to stay away from when house hunting?

Last night’s homicide carries the territory’s 2016 total to 38 — St. Thomas leads with 24, followed by St. Croix with 13, and one in St. John. Of the 38, four were vehicle homicides.
