Does anyone know what the status is on this place. What a waste to see it closed.

What's the scoop? It seemed to be going strong when we were there last year.

The whole building has been for sale by owner for a while.

Just returned from St. Croix. The Danish Manor has been sold to the same Danish gentleman who purchased the King Christian. By outward appearances he's done a good job of "sprucing up" the King Christian, hopefully the Danish Manor will be similarly treated (although there's a LOT more work to be done there IMO). My understanding from talking with the owner of the hotel where I stay is that it will be a "budget" hotel, although "budget" in the Caribbean will still be higher than many think. Having stayed there once I can see that this would never be a high-end property (being two blocks from the waterfront is one reason), but it could be very serviceable for many travelers.
