Want to go fishing with my son over Christmas. Can anyone suggest a good charter boat at reasonable cost for tune, wahoo, etc fishing? Would like to leave out of red hook.

There are many to choose from, but, hands down, in my own opinion and experience living here for almost 12 years, the one you will catch the most with is DoubleHeader, 777-7317, http://www.doubleheadersportfishing.net/. Abigail III is a great trip, too, don't get me wrong, but, for shear numbers, DoubleHeader will always post more fish. Nothing like fresh fish for dinner!

I like BLUEFIN II with Don. He built his own boat and has been fishing out of Redhook for 30 years.

I also can say that Bluefin II with Capt Don Mertens has always been a winner for us over the years - the other 2 vessels mentioned Abigail and Doubleheader are absolutely top notch operations and all 3 are well respected.
