How many HD boxes do they "give" you here when you sign up with them?

Bob,

Sorry to say DirecTV closed their offices in STT and STX the end of July. You can reach the customer service in PR at 787-776-5252. Press 1 for English then 3 for Customer Service. As of Jly 27 the HD boxes were $120 each - none free.

We noticed the STX location closed up. What's up with that? They JUST moved into a new store here then next thing we know they're gone.

Joey...

FYI: Direct TV down here is Direct TV Latino. More Spanish language programming than English.

DirecTV in the VI is not the same as DirecTV in the US. Like specialk said, DirecTV Latin America. Mostly spanish programming.

I was just about to inquire about that. Is he on STT?

No STX, but I'm sure he can recommend someone on STT

On STT call Electronics Unlimited. They sell and install Dish.

You know I 've worked for Directv twice in the past couple of years. Once as a salesman and once in the office and I have to say I have heard so many complaints about them but also have heard people who enjoy the service. I have had it for several years now and don't mind the, what I consider occasional, Spanish channels. I do miss having ABC but rumor has it that is "soon come". For the money - about $45 a month - I am happy with it. Never tried Dish because everyone I talked to before getting Directv told me it was going to be a small fortune to get it installed because I rent not own my house. One of the guys told me $800 for equipment and installation and that is just too much of an investment for television.

Granted I tend to watch the same eight or nine stations but want to say check it out before you go to something more expensive. And the service has always been good - even before I worked with the installers 🙂

I have a feeling an office will reopen on STT soon. The company, Antilles Video Calls, was representing Directv. The actual company itself may very well be opening an office here. Will keep you posted.

Pamela

Thanks Pamela!

My buddy & I were just talking about it & I think we might go the Direct TV route so we can get the NFL Sunday Ticket.....we want to be able to BBQ & hang out at home while watching our Detroit Lions every Sunday.

For NFL ticket Direct is your choice. For networks from NY and San Fran plus NFL channel and NFL Redzone get Dish.
