Direct TV has been advertising service availability in the local papers. Has anyone out there subscribed to their service?

Sloop Jones, Can you help?

I saw several ads for sales people and installers for a cable company. It was a PR number. I keep calling the number and getting somone's personal (sounding) voice mail. Can you send me to the right sites for phone numbers, please? Figured kill two birds with one stone .. I need a job and I need cable.

Thanks if you can!

They are probably looking for additional help for the crew that Innovative hired from PR. These are the people you see out on the East end of STX who are currently putting in the buried cable by Southgate.

This contractor needs to run an ad trying to hire locals before they can bring in individuals from PR.

Dishnetwork reps. on island will answer and/or return your calls.

If DirecTV doesn't answer for an order it might be a bit hard to reach them after the install.

I used to install DirecTV in the states a while back, and have had it at my CT residence for 10years. I looked in to the service when I moved down here and found the service is handled by the Caribbean / South American DirecTV affiliate. Therefore the programming is primarily Hispanic and lacking in many of the channels I would be accustom to.

But let me know if I'm wrong, cuz the service in the states was great.

Yes I am still painting.. Our studio/gallery is still on the East End of STJ. We are open Monday thru Saturday 9:30 to 4:30.
About 2 years ago we closed our wholesale business to the United States and scaled back our outlets in the Caribbean.
Fresh Produce and Elizabeth Jane's on STT both have good collections. Our website is www.sloopjones.com

We got Hughesnet satellite internet in 2004. The people who set us disappeared by 2007. When we realized there was no one to service this important part of our business, I went to school and learned how to set up satellite dishes for the internet. The same distributor I get Hughesnet from also distributes Dish Network.

We started Dish and Dat, Satellite Internet and TV in 2007.

So now i paint half the week and do dishes the other half.

right brain/leftbrain!

Thank you for asking,

Sloop
