Hi Autumn -

There are websites that offer good tips and products as well.

http://www.dreadheadhq.com/original_index.html is one.

My husband has had dreads for about 6 months - he basically stopped brushing his very long wavy hair or using conditioner. It is very messy at first but with the right care - turns out very cool.

Good luck! Andie

Thanks Andie...
I have seen the site for dreadhead..but I hate to say that I am very lazy & I want them to be neat...I can get the twists here and then let them dream from there, but they want something like 200-300 dollars to do! I will have to wait and see0)
