Any suggestions on vendors there for dsl? I am moving down in February and would like to get information ahead of time.

Innovative DSL I have it and it works fine. No problems, they are the local telephone company. $50 a month

You can also check out Ackley Communications or Choice Communications.
Both of those companies provide wireless high speed internet.
