I saw on Monster.com today that Duffy's Love Shack on St. John I believe is hiring a bartender. Looks like they are pretty picky and are looking for a very experienced and serious bartender, but it's worth reading about. Looks like most of the Duffy's staff are Americans or off-islanders who have made the trek down there and found a job. There stories are fun to read on their website, duffysloveshack.com
P.S. If anyone on this message board has ever moved down to the Virgin Islands alone, you know, the kind of story where you kinda just pack up and go and see what happens down there, please tell your story. It seems like there are some people about my age, 23 or so, who need some hope from people who have made the dream come true.

I used to be a manager at Duffy's. Yes, they are picky about thier bartenders but the bartenders make BIG BUCKS during season. It is worth your while to submit a resume if you have the experience ... just a hint they get a big kick out of people sending them a demo tape sort of like "Cocktail" or "Coyote Ugly". Good luck.
