This may be a silly question, but I've read a few postings that mention an electric tennis racket thing used to fight mosquitos...where are these sold?
Are there any other good contraptions that work well against the bugs?

You can find them in lots of stores - all kinds of different ones. For example, Blaszing Photos at Havensight, Marina Market, K-mart, Ace Hardware.......etc.etc. etc.
They are most effective - almost more so for the human - at the triumphant sound of ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZap!!!!Snapple and PoP!

The Mosquito Magnet is another option. Their web site isn't finished but the home page has the contact information http://www.mosquitohelp.com/ so you can call Tom and get some details/prices.

Mosquito Magnet is a lot of money - for $10 you can get the great satisfaction of zapping the buggers out of exsistence.
Many places on St.John will have them as well as over here on ST. Just don't know the names to give you........trust me it is a popular item.
Islander and others, knowing of my own great disfortune with mosquitos and more seriously no-seeums, would no doubt see me as a great candidate for a mosquito magnet........ah, yes, I am! Someday!
