Good morning All!

I have been researching a move from Michigan to a more tropical climate for my husband and I as we get closer to retirement. I do like the idea of a US entity, so the USVI are of obvious interest. Now I'd *love* beachfront property, as most would, but I know it's not cheap. Well I thought so, until I stumbled upon a couple of listings in the "Enfield Green" area of St. Croix and I'm seeing breachfront property for really cheap. Is anyone familiar with this area that could give me insight as to why this property is so cheap?

TIA,
Paula

Contact a local realtor and ask them to help with your search.

Alana is correct that you should contact a local realtor. One reason that area is less expensive is that it is at the approach end of the runway for the airport. Also, the area is not known for having nice beaches.

Thanks. I was looking for a bit of insight on that area, so I appreciate your response. We will certainly be contacting an agent when we get to that point in our search, just not quite there yet!

The houses in Enfield Green are huge and some are just amazing. BUT it is in the approach of the airport, and downwind from the dump...... The beaches are not good either - they are also down current from the dump.

Another area you might consider is Queen's Quarters. It isn't beach front, but it is a neighborhood, safe, and very quiet, It is also convenient to EVERYTHING.

I lived in Enfield Green for a year and posted why you want to avoid it in older posts you can search for.
