I am just curious if there are any Mechanical Design Engineer jobs there in the USVI? I know of Hovensa but I am not too big into the whole Oil Industry and I also know of the VLBA antenna on St Croix but that is controlled remotely so I am not sure if there are any jobs needed there.
Just curious, more than anything. I currently work for NASA-JPL and Cal Tech but have always wanted to live in the Caribbean and thought this might be a good place to start.
Thanks for any and all info!
In your specialty it would probably only make sense if you're doing consulting work and can work from home......
That is kind of what I am thinking and I am looking into those as well.
If not, there sure needs to be. I just replaced a 15 Ton A/C system today that someone had fabricated a 12" x 26" supply duct for. A few months ago I found a 5 Ton A/C with a 12" flex return. Duct and pipe sizing is unknown to most A/C guys around here.
Thanks for the info HVAC is a bit different then what I am used to but I thought that there would be those jobs available there...at least for AC install.
