Hello Mary,

You don't pass through customs coming into the USVI airport from a US airport. You will pass through customs at the US airport you start out from. IE. If you are coming from Miami - its the Miami customs people that will inspect your things.

If you are coming from a foreign airport to the USVI like say St.Martin to St. Thomas - then yes they will stop you and inspect and ask if you have fruits ect.

When leaving the USVI to return to the states you will pass through customs and agriculture and they will ask about fruits ect.

Restrictions exists yes. No plants or fruits with dirt on it, live animals have restrictions....

There are people who bring coolers with frozen meat, special seasonings, cakes, tarts, fruits with them to and from the USVI.

What are you wanting to bring and from where?
