My home away from home is St. John. I spend more time on the islands than I do on the mainland. I have a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I know the life of an islander and I love the culture that comes with its peace. My expersise is varied: ob/gyn, labor and delivery, medical/surgical, post-op recovery, home care, psychiactric. Only the best references. If anyone knows of a decent paying RN job either in private practice, hospital setting or home - please let me know. I am looking to begin permanent employment asap. Willing to work on St. Thomas as well.

You should call Seaview Home Care- 775-1660. Also Seaview skilled nursing facility 777-3303. They have am adolescent psych unit- call the same number. Roy L Schneider always needs med-surg nurses, there is a psych unit there, too (I noticed you were asking about L&D in another post.) Another idea is Continnuum Home Care, a home hospice 714-2273. Private offices are going to require more face-to-face contact. Now, decent pay, that is another question...

Yikes, reading is fundamental!
Try Myra Keating Smith Community Health (St John) 693-8900

You might also try Red Hook Family Practice. They have offices on both STT and STJ.

Thank you all for your recommendations. Sent my resume to Myrah Keating, Red Hook, SeaView but have not looked into the adolescent psych yet. Are any of you working nurses on the island? I am off island right now for the holiday but am ready to come down for a position anytime. I wont stop until I find a job there but it would be so nice if I had some specific connections. If you can help, please do and dont mind PM me.
