Hello! My husband, my 10 year old son my 11 year old daughter and myself will be moving to St. Croix in about six weeks. We have been reading the forum lists for about four months now and are really excited. We are still debating weather to home school or private. My children are very excited about spending a year there. I am hoping to find them some pen pals so they can possibly have some children they can look forward to meeting when we get there. Can anyone help me out with the areas in Christenstead that we should or could look into? Another question I have is how far apart are Fredrikstead and Christenstead?

What do you mean by "Can anyone help me out with the areas in Christenstead that we should or could look into?" Are you looking to buy real estate or live there or what?
Fredriksted and Christiansted are about 30 to 45 minutes apart, more or less depending on time of day and traffic and how you drive.

I posted this same request for my children about a month ago and found two families that were also planning to move there this summer. My son is 9 and my daughter is 10 and they are eager to be more involved with the island life before moving there. If your kids wish to email mine (who won't be coming down until this summer) that would be great! Just pm me for email addies. My son especially would like one as I have found a girl but not a boy pen pal....Thanks!

Thank you for your post.We are looking to lease for one year. I have already ordered the Settlers Handbook. My husband will be going there in about a month and a half. We are hoping to have a few places (condos or houses) lined up for him to look at when he arrives.
