Is there a farmers market on the island of St. Thomas, where you can buy local fruits and vegetables? If so how often?

Used to be the last Saturday each month out west, in Fortuna. I haven't been in years, so ask around about it to see if it's still operating.

It is the last Sunday of the month in Bordeaux. This month it is the 20th for the Bordeaux Ag Fair.
The selection is limited but it is wonderful to be able to pick up even a few veggies locally.

Hi;
I'm just new to the St. Thomas. Can anyone give me general directions on where Bordeaux is?
Thanks,
Jlee

Take the road past the airport and UVI up Blackpoint Hill. Continue on that road--you will pass the pink Nursing Home, Fortuna Mills, the Fire Station, and finally a townhouse housing complex on your right. As you descend the hill you will enter a stretch of fenced properties abutting the road. By the bus stop is the market. You will not be able to miss it if you go on an open Sunday.

Every Saturday morning (and I mean early) there is a lot of activity selling vegetables and homemade goods in Market Square right in Charlotte Amalie. I went every Saturday in August this past summer and bought vanilla, mangoes, baked bread and cakes and some delicious curry and kalaloo soup. Also the home grown hot peppers are terrifically HOT! Great for guacamole! I took some great photos too. Oh and of course there were great bunches of gnips!
