I was trying to find an update on the ferry between STX and STT. I tried googling it and the most current information is from May 2016.

The ferry isn't running yet, so not much to update.

They said on the news that they had a few Coast Guard requirements to finish and should be running in a few weeks.

The most recent news article stated that the ferry should be operating by August. So, maybe really soon.

When the ferry is up and running how long is the trip? I have not been to the islands in years, but my family and I are thinking about moving back.

We won't know until it's up and running. I think their estimate is 1.5 hours?
