I'll pay the extra .15 cents to live on St. Croix.

Well, that's just cuz there's nowhere really to drive.

$3.199 today everywhere along Route 70/Centerine Rd. from Sunny Isle to Williams Delight.

West of Williams Delight, it varied from $3.199, to $3.299 at Exxcel in Frederiksted.

$3.399 at A&H in LaReine.

$3.249 at Farm (formerly Capitol) in Glynn.

Fill up ASAP --rack rate up .23 cents, so expect increases of .25 to .30 cent this week.

Glad we just filled up at 3.19. That seems like an awful big jump.

It is a big jump for all the more crude oil futures increased last week. Get used to getting a "hose job" from Hovensa.

I want to know why the price of premium never went down as much as it should have. According to the Avis today, the current price of premium is $2.93, yet the cheapest price I've seen is $3.72 at Cruzan Petroleum. That makes the mark up .79!!!

I cannot remember what the useless DCLA says that the mark up should be (wasn't it somewhere between 35-40 cents?) but a .79 markup seems waaaaay too high to me.

Does the Avis include tax? because we do pay gas-tax.
plus the stations have to pay for delivery (usually bunkers) and facility costs of their stations.
and actually - the premium price is higher than that this week... it just went up starting today-sunday.

The Avis said the price of premium will increase by 18 cents to $3.11 per gallon, from $2.93. So that was the rack rate. It just seems like the current markup is too high. We've all discussed this at length before, but I just can't remember what all would be included in the .79 markup....AND the price should NOT go up as soon as Hovensa raises the rack rate, because it takes much much longer for the price to go down. Like I said, DLCA is useless.. Just makes me mad!

On that note, the VI govt could eliminate the entirem useless DLCA because they don't do a thing for the consumers here!
