Fire near Hovensa docks....

...just south of Figtree, looks like its a junk yard, but very large fire, so it must have a fuel source.
Location is the Southeast corner of Hovensa....could be a construction site or an old tank....hope its not serious.

Update from a Hovensa bud: it is a controlled flare.
It is an area they almost never use for controlled burns.
I've seen the burns from the stacks up high many times.
this one was on the ground so I was concerned.
Its all good.

Wish it was all good. I work across the street and that lovely black smoke is wafting my way.

I feel a toxic tort coming on, anybody have Lee Rohn's #??

Well, hate to say it but I'm skipping to go catch a few waves at Judith's Fancy.
So, I'll be using my lungs today but not on the Ultimate Field! Will see ya Monday

an fyi, if you got any gunk / splatter on your car from the burnoff, Hovensa is flying down some special cleaner and will get your cars cleaned....according to a friend of mine who works for a subcontractor....who's white car is now spotted

what about the gunk and splatter in the lungs then? there should be a better way for them to do this than unleashing so much toxic material into the air and water.
