Good morning! Does anyone fish out of kayaks on the islands? Ive been a part of the cooperate shark tagging program for several years now and was wondering if anyone has the same passion as I! I catch, tag and release out of an ocean kayak! Its a great way to protect and study these animals! And lots of fun! What are you doing to protect our marine environment? Thank you! Pirate

You catch and release sharks from a kayak??!!:-o

You can check with Fish and Wildlife in Red Hook, 340-775-6762, as they have oversight in these sorts of activities. UVI students do a lot of conservation research. Currently, there is a lot of attention being paid to the St Thomas East End Reserve. You can see the plan at www.czm.dpnr.gov.vi under the publications tab.

EE - If he uses a two man kayak you could get a waterproof case for your iPhone, ride in back, and film the action. I'd pay to see the video, and especially to listen to the audio!
