Very happy to see Food Town/ Stx using biodegradable shopping bags. Wish all the stores would switch.

They are also much stronger than the plastic--no need for double bagging

If it's biodegradable plastic disposable shopping bags, I heard they do not actually biodegrade, they shred into smaller pieces and if wildlife accidently consumes them it blocks their digestive system and they die. Heard it on NPR radio.
