Red Vines is voluntarily recalling some of its black licorice twists after the product was found to have more than double the amount of lead recommended for pregnant women and children.

The California Department of Public Health says that pregnant women and children under 6 should consume no more than 6 micrograms of lead per day — the black licorice being recalled has a whopping 13.2 micrograms of lead.

Personally, you couldn't get me to eat licorice at all but since I remember a post about it a while back, thought I would post the link for those of you that do indulge in the ghastly stuff.

Red vine is but twizzlers is not .... I have no huge addiction to twizzlers and honestly wouldn't think about them but my friend came to visit and asked for them at some place and they said twizzlers are not sold here on Stt?? Just wondered why they don't have them?? It is Hershey brand and they do have Hershey bars?
