Anyone have an opinion on the William and Punch Partner's proposal for the new four-star hotel and resort just north of F-sted? Unlike so many similar proposals in the past, this one seems to have a lot of broad support and is moving forward. Looks like one of the few snagging points left is the upcoming coastal impact report. The land's been sitting there since the mill closed in the late 40s and looks like an archeological goldmine. Personally, I'd love to see the ruins opened to the public, which is part of the plan.

The F-sted waterfront project is coming along, and seven ships are scheduled to dock this season. Looks like the sleepy town might slowly be coming back to life.

Hello FOG

Personally, I always wondered how F'stead failed to develop along with Christianstead. With the past cruise ship involvment, the beautiful beaches, and sunsets, one would have thought there would have been more interest in the past. I would love to see something positive happen to the town. Development would bring in more resources, perhaps help dampen crime in the area, and make F'stead a more sought out area for visitors to the island. It truly is one of the more beautiful areas on the island.

Good Day Islander,

Wonderful web site. Enjoyed it very much, and hope that it comes to pass. I loved F'stead both times I have visited, and would love to see it come alive again.
Thanks,
Ray

Although the hurricane season is only half over, it is already obvious that Grenada will not be on the cruise ship schedule. I wonder if the cruise lines will be out scouting for ports....
