Price Mart is a club like Sam's or Costco. In fact it was formed by the original owner of Costco. The fee to join is 10 dollars.

If I were you I wouldn't buy furniture from the places you mentioned for living down here. If its not solid wood it will fall apart very quickly. The mold, mildew, and humidity can be tough on a lot of things, not just electronics.

Completely Agree w/ Hiya! Particle Board is a mess here quite quickly. But people are always selling home items - the island trader is a good place to look!

Thanks again. It always help to have a group of people to count on.

Is Island Import still around? I have had great luck with my seagrass couches and mahogany furniture.

Molly: Do you mean Island Empire, behind the hospital? Yes, it is still open.

Home Depot sometimes has that artificial wicker. Also, there is a place near Al Cohen's that has Mexican furniture, but also eucalyptus (fake sustainable teak) outdoor tables and chairs. Sometimes you can get stuff at Home Again in Red Hook. You basically get to drive around and check out all the furniture stores, because you never know!

Just wanted to add that my experience has been I can ship in good quality pieces of furniture or I can get lesser quality furniture on island for the same price. But I do not live on STT.
