Thanks. Also we need a new fuel pump for the bobcat. Things sure fell apart while we were gone.

Alan, thank you so much. Hubby just called them and they can do it. Anytime you need a favor just ask. Now if we can get the bobcat repaired we can fix some roads around here.

Thanks again.

Any suggestions for repair and tune up of a small gas generator (3500 watts)?

Be careful with Valentine's. I have had both good and very bad experiences with him.

Santo operation?

Here in STT, we have many santo operations that sometimes pull through, mostly don't.
Just wondering!

There is a man who has taken care of maintenance, etc on the Gentle Winds generator for years. He is very reliable and very good. His name is Oliver Canton. I think he's in the STX phone book directory. He works on gasoline and diesel type generators. He came to our house last year and solved my generator problem within a couple of minutes.

Update on the generator repair. Hubby took it to Valentines right away. He said he would call in the evening with a price. As of yesterday and after 3 phone calls we could not get a price or a time. He went this morning to pick it up and found that it had been taken apart. Hubby asked for it back which made the owner very angry and even more angry when hubby demanded the parts as well. So we are just going to buy the part or send it back to the states for repair.

It seems that "calling you this evening" means they'll call you in a few days or a week. Typical

Sorry about that. I haven't used them I just see motors come and go while at VI Cargo.

What about Antilles Power? They're working here out of Puerto Rico.

No worries rks and sky. Hubby ordered the part and it is on it's way. This message board is great. If we don't try the businesses on the island then shame on us. If we do try them and they are bad then we can tell each other and move on. As far as Antilles, Jason, goes I cannot and won't call him. I don't know how he runs his business but as a person he is someone I don't want to have anything to do with.

Oliver Canton would never have done this to you like Valentine's did. Oliver works on his own & he's a down islander with honesty and respect towards others.

My guess is Oliver can do anything related to fixing any kind of generator.
