Getting a small business license in St. Croix

Anyone know of a reliable lawyer or other professional on St. Croix for answering questions about setting up a small business?

It's clear that I could do all the paperwork myself, but would like professional advice at a few points. Reading through the IRS FAQ and watching their videos, plus the VI gov't web pages and I still have some questions about sole propietorships vs. LLC, etc.

Also anyone know of a good accountant?

Going to check out the Small Business Administration offices in Sunny Isles today.

Thanks!

Went to SBA today, turns out it's in Federal building across from McDonalds, between Golden Rock and 5 Corners. Mr. Christensen there was extremely helpful, and after he answered many questions, I went off Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs, off to get a business license. It's in the Golden Rock Mall, in the inside corner by Dominos Pizza. More forms to fill out, for a police record check, DPNR zoning application, fees to pay, and I need to get an IRS record check notarized. Every one there was also helpful... Will let you know what happens next.

...one more fun detail. Ihad recent passport and driver's license with me as ID. But was not carring my lovely and un-laminated social security card. I'll need to visit them again with it to close the loop on my application.

What happens if the SS card is laminated.
I have had the same on for over45 years, and can't remember when it wasn't laminated.
