We are moving to STT at the end of September. We have a 25 lb and 65 lb dog to transport. We are not willing to put them in the cargo hold of the airplane. Does anyone know of any private transport companies that we could contact that won't cost us our life savings?

No. It's pricy even when shared with others, IMO.
I use AA cargo for flying between Orlando and STT.
My 60 lb. dog and I have made 3 round trips in 2 years.
Can't fly summer months.
All flights must be on a Boeing aircraft.
Airbus does not accommodate dogs in cargo.
You 25 lb dog can probably go on plane with you if it can fit beneath seat.
Check airlines rule and regs for flying with dogs.
Check breed restrictions.
Google Private pet transport.
